Our Positive Participation Award recognises S1–S3 pupils who consistently demonstrate a consistently positive attitude towards their learning and contribution in class.

The award celebrates children and young people who:

• Engages consistently well in lessons

• Show consistent effort across their subjects

• Participate positively in all aspects of learning

A key element of the award is inclusion. Pupils are recognised for:

• Consistently working well with others

• Consistently supporting their peers

• Regularly taking part positively in group activities

• Consistently communicating respectfully

Pupils are recognised at different levels depending on how consistently they demonstrate these qualities across their subjects:

• Platinum – consistently strong effort and positive participation across all areas

• Gold – strong performance in most areas

• Silver – positive participation in several areas

• Bronze – positive participation in at least one area

This approach allows us to celebrate a wide range of achievements while encouraging all learners to build consistency, develop positive learning behaviours, and strengthen their ability to work with others.
